Aruban florin and the euro: JobCare works with local currency, the Aruban florin. The Aruban florin is connected to the American dollar. The exchange rate fluctuates regularly, which is why JobCare has decided to let you get acquainted with this currency already by means of the daily exchange rate. Each day, the exchange rate of the euro is stated behind aforementioned florins. It might happen that one day the euro has a higher exchange rate than the next. The advantage for you is that you do not depend on the exchange rate – for JobCare cannot charge you more than what was intended originally.
Explanation packages
The registration with JobCare is free of charge. You may have noticed that, apart from this, you can compose a package from a number of different services.
Finding employment and introduction to employer
JobCare will look for a suitable job for you. In addition, JobCare introduces you to your new employer on your first workday. If you have already found a job yourself, but still wish to use our other services, you are welcome to do so, of course.
Arranging a work and residence permit
When you come from abroad to live and work in Aruba, you require a work and residence permit. JobCare can arrange this permit for you. If you wish to arrange it yourself, bear in mind that it takes 3 days on average before you have visited the necessary agencies to pick up the right forms. If JobCare does this for you, it saves you a lot of waiting time. If you choose us to make arrangements for your work and residence permit, you will receive an e-mail after your registration, stating what we need from you. You have to pay the costs of this permit yourself. Some employers take these costs for their account. Should this apply to you, then you will be reimbursed by JobCare once you are in Aruba.
Other intermediary services
The other intermediary services with which JobCare can provide you, consist of the following points:
- Pick-up from the airport (upon arrival in Aruba you are picked up by a JobCare employee and taken to your apartment, hotel, or house.)
- Arranging a rental car (JobCare will look for a rental car and make sure it is available upon arrival.)
- Arranging accommodation (JobCare will look for suitable housing for you.)
- Service helpdesk (JobCare can be reached during the day in case of questions and problems. In emergencies, the helpdesk can also be reached during the night.)
